Benoît MAURIN

After studying music at the Lyon and St-Etienne conservatories, he obtained a master's degree in percussion performance and a certificate of aptitude as a percussion teacher from the CNSM in Paris.

A passionate orchestral performer, he took part in the Gustav Mahler Jungendorchester under Philippe Jordan, then in the Lucerne Festival Academy under Pierre Boulez. A regular guest of the Ensemble Intercontemporain, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France and the Orchestre de Paris, he is a member of the Paris Percussion Group, where he promotes the protean world of percussion instruments.

A versatile artist, Benoît Maurin leads several creative projects with IRCAM and the ensemble Le Balcon.

In 2019, he will take part in the production of Electre/Oreste at the Comédie Française.
