CHILDREN'S CHOIR

Information

Since its creation in September 2010, the Rainier III Academy Children's Choir has performed on numerous occasions at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo. Works such as "Mefistofele", "L'enfant et les sortilèges", "La Bohème", "Street Scene" & "Carmen" have brought a wealth of experience and left a lasting impression. & "Carmen" provided a rich experience and left the children with immense memories.

The partnership established with the Opéra de Monte-Carlo culminated in June 2018 with the Children's Choir's participation in the Chorégies d'Orange festival, reprising the work "Mefistofele" given in Monaco in 2011.

With an opera house, a Philharmonic Orchestra at the Théâtre Princesse Grace, a professional ballet company, the Princesse Grace dance school and the Academy, a Printemps des Arts festival, an organ festival and a theater festival, Monaco has enormous cultural potential.

The Children's Choir is part of this training program, giving the children the chance to give their best performances and discover the world of show business. It will also consolidate links between the Choir and the Singing & Lyric Art class at the Académie Rainier III, as well as with the Opéra de Monte-Carlo and the Philharmonic Orchestra.

Offering children the best possible training means supporting them in the various skills demanded by the performing arts, without ever losing sight of the pleasure of being on stage: a taste for effort, concentration, knowing how to wait, save, give, share and blossom in personal artistic expression, putting it to the service of the group, but also meeting the demands of stage directors and orchestra conductors.

That's why, in addition to choral work with Bruno Habert, we offer courses in theater, vocal technique and tap dancing.

The Children's Choir is open to children aged 10 to 16, with the main criteria being the child's motivation and the support of parents.
